Don’t Be Stressed About the Origin of Ohio Structures
Mark Baranoski
(Thursday, November 9th, 2023)
Looking back on our curious journey, studying the ground beneath us usually increases our understanding of what we presently observe. Sometimes emerging patterns we see make sense. Other times patterns lead to new questions. Mark Baranoski will review the paleotectonic history of Ohio, followed by a guided journey to understand structural observations. The general result is that structure affects stratigraphy and vice versa. Mark is not going to be stressed about the origin of the stresses. Maybe the talk will get the audience thinking.
